Trans-E Inflatable Boat
This is my review of the TRANS-E inflatable boat
The TRANS-E inflatable boat is a sib soft inflatable boat
TRANS-E are the market leaders in top quality inflatable boats the boat on review is the 3.2m version though other sizes are available in the range 2.3m 2.7m 2.9m and 3.2 m I chose the larger size to give just that extra bit of room when 2 anglers are out for the days fishing .
The official stats areThe TRANS-E is made from a very robust PVC material
0.9mm 1100 Denier Polyester, specially coated on both sides with PVC
Making the boat both long lasting and lightweight for its size while handling off the water
when the TRANS-E arrives it comes packaged in a single box complete with 2 piece ore’s, high volume foot pump, 2 seats ,large storage bag and emergency puncture repair kit,
I use a bravo type electric pump for inflating the boat this takes about 10 mins at the most to fully inflate ready for action.
The boat has 3 tube bladders an air floor and inflatable keel the tubes and keel should be inflated to 25 and the floor to 50 on your electric pumps
A very solid marine grade ply transom board is incorporated in the boat with hard plastic outboard brackets and drain plug accessed from inside the boat
Locking Rowlocks are supplied one on each side of the boat this is to allow ores to be safely attached and locked in to place
On the top of each side tube is a safety grab line very securely attached using the spliced method.
the 3.2m comes with 2 plywood seats which are finished a grey stipple finish paint this gives superior grip while sitting on the seats
The front tube comes with 4 very sturdy PVC hang on handles
On the sides of the boat are 4 very substantial shaped carry handles these are really well designed handles which have a dual purpose they have a scooped out profile so your anchor rope can be attached and wrapped around them securely when at anchor
The air floor is fully detachable this makes carrying the boat much lighter.
the air floor incorporates some very clever features as well as an extra thick piece of material for the petrol tank to sit on there is also a set of retaining straps for the petrol tank underneath the petrol tank a piece of marine ply is also attached to give extra rigidity to the floor and stop the inflated keel from miss shaping the floor when in use
I really like the TRANS-E inflatable boat it is very sturdy and has the curves in just the right places the safety features are second to none with lots of grab pope and hang on handles the boat handles superbly on the water .there is plenty of space for a couple of anglers and all the kit we use I have used it with 4hp and 5.8hp engines both are adequate to push this boat out to the fishing marks the TRANS-E inflatable boats are available from the outdoor hub the retail of the 3.2m is £525.00
