This is my review of the new Galaxy kayaks deluxe high back kayak seat
On receiving the new seat the first thing that needs a mention is the delivery speed and packaging both were excellent just 24hours from ordering I had it in my hand ready to use it was well protected with its packaging
The seat will fit most kayaks.
It is made from 2 stage high density Eva foam it is covered with a nylon water resistant fabric
The back of the seat is made from a hard plastic back former this gives solid back support and then a 2 stage Eva foam covering this is done by using 2 different densities of Eva foam this gives a very high degree of comfort and allows the seat to be heat formed and shaped
The seat pad is made slightly differently it still has the 2 stage Eva foam but does not have the stiff plastic backing this is don’t so the seat both grips the kayak and feels comfortable it moulds to the shape of the kayak when in use.
On the rear of the seat it has a new detachable rod pod this allows you to transport 2 extra fishing rods with easy to reach positions both have hard plastic liners in the centre of the pod is a handy bungee section
The rod pod is attached using hard plastic positive clips so once it’s attached it is a very solid fitting
The seat has 4 strong brass fittings for attaching it to the kayak
This is a superb new seat it has great support and comfort the fittings are very solid and the new back pod is a very handy addition the seat retails for about £39.99 this is a great upgrade to any kayak
