This is my review of the new verona rod from masterline walker
This is a spin rod
that’s a 4 piece with cork handles and superb fittings the first thing you notice is the overall quality it’s
superb.
With a high gloss varnish finish and superb push in joints which are all whipped for extra strength
The Rovex varona spin rod is a brand new rod from masterline walker it replaces last years LX spin.
The new rod is
full carbon construction
The rod comes in 4 equal sections which makes stowing it in a hatch very easy
It
comes complete with a 4 section cloth bag just to keep it safe
The rod has single leg Fuji type line guides through out which are whipped to a very
high standard then epoxy finished making them very strong.The blank for this rod is a premium quality carbon blank .
The joints are all also whipped and epoxy finished this gives extra strength to the
joint and ensuring long service
The but section has a keeper ring on it for transporting plugs safely The rod has a
fuji style reel seat which holds the reel very securely
This rod screams quality where ever you look the action is quite stiff
For a spin
rod this is specially so you can punch out those plugs yet its very soft on the fish and forgiving when playing a fish the
quality of the line guides and handle make it a very aesthetically pleasing rod to handle with superb balance this is a very
comfortable rod to hold and fish with and I think masterline walker have a superb rod with this one the rod retails at £42.00
which is brilliant value for money.
